Meet Mike Gibbs
Twenty-six years ago, Mike Gibbs wasn't a technology professional. He was a Nurse Practitioner who wanted to build a career in technology.
Like many aspiring technology professionals, Mike followed the advice everyone gives.
- Get certified.
- Study harder.
- Learn more tools.
- Build more technical knowledge.
So he earned certification after certification. He invested thousands of dollars in training. He built an impressive technical resume. Then he started applying for jobs. And he got rejected. Again. And again.
So Mike stopped guessing. He interviewed recruiters. He studied hiring managers. He learned what companies actually wanted. That discovery changed everything. Three months later Mike was a lead architect at the world’s larges Internet service provider. Two years later Mike was a principal architect.
Then Mike spent nearly a decade at Cisco as a lead enterprise architect. During that time Mike taught architecture to Cisco employees and others beginning their architecture career.
During this time something amazing happened. The more business, leadership, executive and communication skills Mike taught to his clients; the greater their career success.
Mike watched his clients gain positions and salaries that normally would have taken 10 to 15 years of experience, practically overnight.
So Mike began training people with the full set of architect skills; technical skills, executive skills, business skills and communication skills and watched their incredible success.
Now 26 years later and Mike has trained architects who now work at AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Google, IBM, Microsoft, KPMG, Deloitte, Cap Gemini, PWC, JPMC Bank, Barclays Bank, and many more elite organizations.
